Games like Vampire Survivors on mobile
By the Lootero team. Updated .
Vampire Survivors is already on phones, and the base game is free with optional ads. Once you have unlocked most of it, these are the games we would play next on an iPhone or Android phone. All of them share the core idea: your weapons fire by themselves, you steer through a growing crowd, and every level-up asks you to pick an upgrade.
Lootero is our own game. It is mostly an island adventure, but after every boss it turns into a horde survival round called the Last Stand, so it earns a place here with a clear label.
Short answer
- Most popular on phones: Survivor!.io.
- Most build planning: Brotato, with a shop between waves.
- Pay once, no free-to-play shop: Brotato: Premium, 20 Minutes Till Dawn: Premium or Halls of Torment: Premium.
- Darker and slower, with gear that carries over: Halls of Torment.
- A horde round inside an adventure: Lootero (our game, out November 2026).

Survivor!.io
- Made by
- Habby
- On phones
- 2022 (worldwide)
- Platforms
- iPhone, Android
- Price
- Free, with in-app purchases
Why you might like it
Survivor!.io is the horde survival game most people on phones have played. Runs are short, the crowds are huge, and skill picks combine into evolved weapons much like in Vampire Survivors.
How it differs from Vampire Survivors
It is free to play with in-app purchases, and gear and upgrades you keep between runs matter more than in Vampire Survivors. It comes from Habby, the studio behind Archero.

Brotato
- Made by
- Blobfish, published on phones by Erabit Studios
- On phones
- 2023
- Platforms
- iPhone, Android
- Price
- Free version, or Brotato: Premium ($4.99 on the US App Store)
Why you might like it
Brotato plays in short arena waves. Between waves you spend what you collected in a shop, so you plan your build more directly than in Vampire Survivors, where level-ups decide most of it.
How it differs from Vampire Survivors
Your character, a potato, can carry up to six weapons at once, and each run is a set number of waves instead of a clock. There is a free version and a paid Premium version.

Lootero's Last Stand, filmed in the game. Why you might like it
After you beat an island's boss, Lootero turns into the Last Stand: monsters pour in from every side, more and tougher every second, until you fall. Your score counts kills and time, and your best score is the record for that world. It is the closest thing to a Vampire Survivors run in our game, and your build from the whole world goes into it.
How it differs from Vampire Survivors
Most of Lootero is an adventure, not a horde round. You open up each floating island one piece at a time, fight waves in sealed areas, gather and sell loot, meet Norse gods and fight a boss. Your archer shoots when you stand still, so you stop and start instead of moving the whole time. It is our game and comes to iPhone and Android in November 2026.

20 Minutes Till Dawn
- Made by
- flanne, published on phones by Erabit Studios
- On phones
- 2022
- Platforms
- iPhone, Android
- Price
- Free version, or a paid Premium version
Why you might like it
20 Minutes Till Dawn keeps the survival clock and the stacking upgrades, with a darker look and a gun you fire yourself.
How it differs from Vampire Survivors
You aim your gun yourself, or turn on auto-aim, so it asks more of your hands than Vampire Survivors. There is a free version and a paid Premium version.
-
Halls of Torment
- Made by
- Chasing Carrots, ported to phones by Erabit Studios
- On phones
- 2024 (Premium), 2025 (free version)
- Platforms
- iPhone, Android
- Price
- Free version, or Halls of Torment: Premium ($4.99 on the US App Store)
Why you might like it
Halls of Torment looks like an old dungeon game from the late 1990s and plays like Vampire Survivors with more to plan: you pick traits and skills during a run, and equipment and quests carry over between runs.
How it differs from Vampire Survivors
It is slower and asks for more planning. A paid Premium version came to phones in 2024 and a free version followed in 2025.

Heroes vs Hordes
- Made by
- Swift Games
- On phones
- 2022
- Platforms
- iPhone, Android
- Price
- Free, with in-app purchases
Why you might like it
Heroes vs Hordes is a fantasy horde survival game played with one hand, with over 100 heroes, weapons and skills to unlock.
How it differs from Vampire Survivors
It is built around unlocking and upgrading heroes over time, as many free-to-play games are, so progress between runs carries more weight than in Vampire Survivors.

- LEME
- On phones
- 2019

Why you might like it

Archero 2
- Made by
- Habby
- On phones
- 2025
- Platforms
- iPhone, Android
- Price
- Free, with in-app purchases
Why you might like it
Archero 2 shares the level-up picks and the feeling of a build coming together, in shorter rooms instead of an endless field.
How it differs from Vampire Survivors
Your hero only attacks while standing still, so you move, stop and shoot instead of moving all the time. It is free to play with in-app purchases.
Is Vampire Survivors free on mobile?
Yes. On iPhone and Android the base game is free. It shows optional ads, for example after a run, which you can ignore, and the expansions are paid. Apple Arcade also has its own edition called Vampire Survivors+.
What are games like Vampire Survivors called?
They are usually called survivors-likes, horde survival games or bullet heaven games. The shared rules are automatic attacks, a growing crowd of enemies and an upgrade choice at every level.
Which games like Vampire Survivors are not pay to win?
Brotato, 20 Minutes Till Dawn and Halls of Torment each sell a Premium version on the App Store that you buy once. Vampire Survivors itself is free with optional ads and paid expansions.
Lootero comes out in November 2026
